Step 1: Call for Assistance

Step 2: Gather Evidence

Note down the following details:-

1. Place and time of the accident
2. Personal particulars of the driver involved in the road accident (driving licence number, contact number and address)
3. Name of the takaful operator/ insurer of the other vehicle/s
4. The make/model and registration number of the other vehicle/s involved in the road accident
5. The registration number of tow truck (if any)
6. Snap photos and note down the extent of the damages to the vehicles/property involved
7. Draw a simple diagram of the accident scene. This will help you when making a police report later on as you will be required to do so.

Step 3: Lodge a Police Report

Make a Police Report of the accident within 24 hours. Late reporting can result in a fine.

Step 4: Notify Us

• Notify us within seven (7) days from the date of the accident.
• Submit all letters, claims, writs and summons which you have received from the third parties as a result of the accident to us immediately.

Step 5: Send your Car/Motorcycle to a Panel Workshop

1. Send your vehicle to our nearest Approved Panel Repairer / Motorcycle Preferred Repairer.
2. We will appoint an adjuster to assess the damage. Please co-operate with the investigators and appointed loss adjuster to undertake an independent assessment of the repairs recommended by the panel workshop.

1. The participant or the authorised driver must report the accident to the police within 24 hours, as required by law.
2. Contact our Tele Bantuan helpline at 1-800-888-788 for service requests.
3. An adjuster from Century will contact the participant to confirm the relevant claim details.
4. Tele Bantuan representative will require the relevant information from the participant to make the necessary arrangements.
5. A panel adjuster will be deployed to the participant’s location for an on-site assessment.
6. The participant must submit the following required documents to the assigned panel adjuster for claim processing:
   1. Duly completed Motor Takaful Claim Form;
   2. Police report or slip (with police report number);
   3. Copy of the participant’s NRIC and valid driving license or Copy of Company Form (Form 9, 24 and 49 – applicable if the participant is a company);
   4. Copy of the driver’s NRIC and valid driving license (if not the same as the owner); and
   5. Copy of vehicle registration card/Vehicle Ownership Certificate (VOC).
7. If the vehicle owner and the driver are not the same person, they must be present to sign the relevant documents.
8. The participant is required to return the discharge voucher duly signed within five (5) days so that payment arrangements can be made accordingly.
9. The claim payment will be made directly to the participant’s account via online transfer within five (5) working days upon receipt of the duly signed discharge voucher.
10. After completing the vehicle repair work, the participant must submit the repair bill to us by email to csu@takaful-malaysia.com.my or at any Takaful Malaysia Care Centre (TMCC). The participant must provide four (4) colour photos of the repaired vehicle from four (4) different angles within 14 days from the date of the approval letter.

1. The participant must report the accident to the police within 24 hours, as required by law.
2. The participant notifies the claim via the mobile application Tele Bantuan or Corporate Website for confirmation and arrangements.
3. The panel adjuster will contact the participant for verification and arrangements.
4. The appointment of an adjuster will be made automatically through the Merimen System.
5. The participant must submit the following required documents for claim processing:
   1. Duly completed Motor Takaful Claim Form;
   2. Police report or slip (with police report number);
   3. Copy of the participant’s NRIC & valid driving license or Copy of Company Form (Form 9, 24 and 49 – applicable if the participant is a company);
   4. Copy of the driver’s NRIC & valid driving license (if not the same as the owner);
   5. Copy of vehicle registration card/Vehicle Ownership Certificate (VOC);
   6. Close-up photos / clear photos of the damaged vehicle (for Online Vehicle Assessment Claim); and
   7. Four (4) photos of the vehicle before repair from four (4) different angles (for Online Vehicle Assessment Claim).
6. A Century Adjuster will be appointed to handle desktop survey cases and the report must be submitted within two (2) working days.
7. The participant must return the discharge voucher duly signed within five (5) days so that payment arrangements can be made accordingly.
8. The claim payment will be made directly to the participant’s account via online transfer within five (5) working days upon receipt of the duly signed discharge voucher.
9. After completing the vehicle repair work, the participant must submit the repair bill to us by email to csu@takaful-malaysia.com.my or at any Takaful Malaysia Care Centre (TMCC). The participant must provide four (4) colour photos of the repaired vehicle from four (4) different angles within 14 days from the date of the approval letter.

1. A claim towards loss or damages sustained by your car in an accident on your own takaful certificate if the accident was your fault.
2. Your NCD (No Claims Discount) is forfeited when you make this claim.
3. Only valid for comprehensive motor takaful certificate.

Note down the following details:-

1. Your car is economical to repair.
2. Your car will be arranged for repair at our approved repairer.
3. Please refer to Takaful myMotor – Private Car Full Certificate (refer to Basis of Settlement section).

Note down the following details:-

1. If the damage to your car is major that it would not be safe or economical to repair, we will declare your car as “Beyond Economic Repair” (“BER”).
2. Please refer to Takaful myMotor – Private Car Full Certificate (refer to Basis of Settlement section).
3. The Certificate shall be automatically terminated upon payment of the said amount.

Definition
OD-KFK stands for Own Damage Knock for Knock (OD-KFK) claim. In the event of a motor accident and if it is not the participant’s fault, one may make an OD-KFK claim on his/her own comprehensive takaful/insurance without the NCD (No Claim Discount) being forfeited and a faster claim processing.

It’s an agreement between two takaful/insurance companies whereby, when both companies’ participants/policyholders incur losses in the same covered event (usually a motor accident); each takaful operator/insurer pays the losses sustained by its own participant/policyholder regardless of who was responsible.

Note: This is determined by the circumstances of the accident and through the Police Investigation Result. The third party is mandatory to have takaful/insurance coverage in order to treat the claim as OD-KFK. OD-KFK is not applicable for hire and reward vehicle such as taxi, bus or rented car.

Definition
A claim made if the vehicle is stolen and it is only valid for the comprehensive motor takaful or third party fire and theft coverage.​

Definition
A claim made to replace or repair any glass in the windscreen, window or sunroof of your car that is accidentally damaged. You will not lose your No Claim Discount (NCD) entitlement if this claim is made under the additional benefit of windscreen. Please refer to Takaful myMotor – Private Car Full Certificate (refer to Endorsement C089) for more details.

There are two types of Windscreens Claims:

1. Replacement:

1. The additional benefit of windscreen will end as soon as the damaged glass is replaced.
2. If you want to continue to enjoy this protection, you need to re-authorize the car mirror protection and pay an additional contribution to us.

2. Repair:

1. If the damaged glass is repaired, the additional benefit of windscreen will continue but the limit of the amount payable will be reduced by the amount of the repair cost.
2. You can reinstate the amount by paying an additional contribution to us or maintain the balance after the claim.

A claim made by you against a Third Party Insurer for the cost of repairs in the event of an accident that happens in accordance with a KFK agreement

Definition
In the event your vehicle sustains water damage due to flooding, flash flood, overflowing of waterways, drains, rivers or mud slides which require towing and cleaning, you can submit to us the documents required for reimbursement of towing and cleaning expenses. Upon receipt of the complete documents, we will reimburse you up to the sum covered as selected by you in the Schedule. Please refer to Takaful myMotor – Comprehensive Private Motor Takaful Certificate (refer to Endorsement C203) for more details.

         The Online or On-Site Vehicle Assessment is available to all comprehensive private car Takaful certificate holders of Takaful Malaysia.

1. 1. 1. What is the limit I can claim under Online or On-Site Vehicle Assessment Claim?
         You can claim up to a maximum gross amount of RM3,000.

1. 1. 1. I am unsure whether my vehicle can be driven after the accident. What should I do?
         Online or On-Site Vehicle Assessment is tailored for vehicles that could still be driven after an accident, i.e. claims involving minor damage which does not affect the internal, undercarriage, engine parts, or the safety aspect of the vehicle and does not involve third-party injury. If you suspect that your vehicle has sustained damages to the internal/undercarriage components of your vehicle/radiator, please refrain from continually driving your vehicle as under the Terms & Conditions of our Motor Takaful Certificate, any further damage aggravated resultant from your continued usage of the vehicle prior to repairs, is not payable under the Motor Takaful Certificate.The following types of damages are generally considered “minor”.
